[edit] importing/exporting articles to/from Naked Wikia

I think once an article is on Wikipedia it is best to keep the article there and edit it there. There are many many more editors contributing there than here. I can see using this site for development though and then exporting it to Wikipedia once it is good enough. Dlj 23:49, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

  • I'm a rather active Wikipedian (watchlist past 8500), and must point out there may be many contributors in the technical sense of the term, but most of those contribute as good as nothing (many are just vandals, deletionists or occasional 'tourists', others practically limit themselves to auxilliary tasks such as robot-assisted spelling controls), and spread over very many pages on heterogenous subjects- as one must expect from an encyclopaedia. So when you're considering a pretty limited field of interest, such as matters related to nudity, the corresponding active wiki-population may actually very well turn out to be surprisingly small. Even on the least esoterical subjects, production till date has often been negligable- for example, untill I took it in hand, even Boy -a word in every language's basic vocabulary, thought in first grade- was a miserable stub. Furthermore, many subjects (certainly anything related to sensitive subjets like politics, religion and 'morality', such as nudity) become the target of utterly destructive elements who practice shameless propaganda, desinformation or deletionism. If you think nursing an article will ever be 'good enough' to get a safe spot on wikipedia, forget it- everything needs to be patrolled, so it would make sense to copy material here and preserve it in case the Wikipedia versions get molested.
