[edit] Greetings from Mark Storey
Greetings WNGD participants:
My name is Mark Storey, I'm the co-founder and current project lead of WNGD and I've been moderating the WNGD Yahoo! Discussion group. A number of people around the world have also been keeping track of people's thoughts and comments about WNGD. It's a pleasure to say that it's been almost 100% positive. We've had two (and only two) comments that I could construe as rude or negative; all others either showed a readiness by the posters to participate in some way or their recognition of the lighthearted spirit and fun that was behind all of this. Do a Google search on "World Naked Gardening Day" and you will see what the many blogs, newspaper articles, and other online sources have said about the innocent joy of working with the earth as nature intended. It's gratifying to hear from people in Brazil, the UK, Germany, Denmark, Australia, Spain, Canada, India, and the USA...each saying something to the effect of "Great idea! I too will do some naked gardening on World Naked Gardening Day!"
Please do not think that your story is too small or not worth posting. The more of you we all hear from, the better. Naked gardening is one of the few activities that many people can appreciate, even if they have never given such a thing a try before. If you've done it once, it's like skinny-dipping...it just seems the coolest thing in the world to do.
Big cheers!

[edit] Poetry
SEASONAL INTERCHANGE by Michael Aitken
- In Winter, when the trees are bare,
- We mortals don our winter wear.
- In Spring, when trees begin to dress,
- We mortals then start wearing less,
- Until, for some, with Summer's heat
- The role reversal is complete.
